CBD seems to be taking over the world. From infused cocktails to hand lotion, if they can add it, it has been done. According to projectcbd.com, “Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as a medicine going back thousands of years.” They go on to say, “CBD is closely related to another important medicinally active phytocannabinoid: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound that causes the high that cannabis is famous for. These are the two components of cannabis that have been most studied by scientists. Both CBD and THC have significant therapeutic attributes. But unlike THC, CBD does not make a person feel “stoned” or intoxicated. That’s because CBD and THC act in different ways on different receptors in the brain and body.” So in other words, CBD is a great option for chilling out without getting stoned.

So, it’s no wonder why a hotel that specializes in offering guests an all-inclusive, relaxing experience would want to extend their offering to include CBD products. This was exactly the case for The Godfrey Hotel Chicago. Located in River North, The Godfrey Hotel is a boutique hotel that is most notably known for I|O Godfrey, an indoor/outdoor rooftop bar that offers panoramic views of Chicago’s skyline. In addition to the energetic atmosphere, I|O boasts a highly creative cocktail menu that includes, what else, CBD infused drinks! I had the pleasure of photographing a few CBD-infused cocktails when they first made their debut on the menu. Those photos are seen below, along with the newest CBD product line… CBD gummies!

Guests of The Godfrey Hotel no longer need to head to I|O to get their CBD fix. They can now find these adorable CBD gummies tucked right into their little nosh box located inside each guest room. Each bottle contains 15 gummies, 10mg each. I had a great time photographing this new product. The colors were fun to play with, and the resulting images worked very well to promote this new offering on social media.
